"My Name is Picasso" Ceramic Portraits

Service Description

Inspired by Pablo Picasso's Cubist portraiture, this workshop allows children to create their own ceramic portraits using clay. After a brief presentation exploring Picasso's art world and how he deconstructs and reconstructs the face, each participant creates a unique portrait using their imagination. This workshop allows children to experience art from a different perspective, seeing the face as a form and a playground. At the end of the workshop, the finished works are collected for firing and delivered to their owners as ceramics after 2 weeks. WORKSHOP RULES & INFORMATION - All materials used in the workshop are provided by the workshop. - The workshop duration is 2.5 hours. - Children are advised to come in comfortable clothing that doesn't mind getting dirty. - Children must be dropped off and picked up on time by their parents. - Arriving in the classroom 15 minutes before the start of the workshop is sufficient. - During the workshop, children are expected to work independently in the workshop area; guidance will be provided by the workshop leader. - The works produced at the end of the workshop are taken to be fired and delivered to their owners as ceramic pieces approximately 2 weeks later. - Due to the nature of the ceramic production process, small cracks and surface variations may occur; this is considered part of the originality of the work. - Cancellation and make-up conditions will be announced separately for each workshop. - We value your participation in our workshops.
